RH ARKITEKTER is also responsible for the last stage of the refurbishment of Accident Victims Denmark rehabilitation centre. After the major refurbishment in 2012, the old cell-like offices for administration purposes remained. RH ARKITEKTER was tasked with opening up these rooms to create synergy with the rest of the building. The idea was to create an open and inviting space suitable for patients with disabilities as well as a gathering place for the association PTU-FRI.
The small cell-like offices and the long and sombre hallway has been replaced with an open office space with an associated kitchenette combining the open area with the multi-purpose hall used by the patients.
Materials and surfaces are kept in bright Nordic colours and quality and the new space appears beautiful, simple, and serene. Oak office furniture adds life and glow to the room.
Ventilation, lighting, and acoustics are discreetly built into the ceilings providing a sense of calm to the room.
