Kalundborg Health Centre was built as part of Region Zealand’s Hospital Plan 2010 and the desire of the region and Kalundborg local authority to keep health service local.

The centre will provide a substantial range of health services, making maximum use of the know-how available through medical practice, the regional and local authorities by working across the range of healthcare disciplines and sectors at the same physical address.

The existing medical centre in the former Kalundborg Hospital administration building is a major part of the new health centre, and public perception of the two units as a single facility was high priority.

The intention is that the public should perceive the health centre as a gateway to basic health services, including acute treatment, routine examinations, treatment, health promotion and disease prevention.
