A laboratory is defined by its function, product, and process. There is always a function and technology that employees must work with and around, a product that they must operate, and a process that is part of the company's overall product value chain.

CLASSIFICATIONS AND LABORATORY TYPES

Among other things, we specialize in GMP and GLP including GMO, isotopes, viruses, and cleanrooms. We work with generic solutions that are adapted to a specific project within Research & Development laboratories, QC laboratories, CMC laboratories, Production laboratories, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) facilities.

Additionally, we focus on acoustics, daylight, and ergonomic conditions promoting productivity, concentration, and ultimately ensuring good working conditions for users.

Every lab is different. This also means that there are always special conditions and requirements that we must consider - which have a great influence on the building's layout, flow, choice of materials, etc… I remember a project where we found out in the user process, that a measuring device in the laboratory was easily sensitive to metal, which became a condition for our choice of doors.

CHOICE OF MATERIALS AND SURFACES FOR LABORATORIES

For Life Science companies, it is important to have the right materials and surfaces in their laboratories to get accurate and reliable outputs, as the wrong choice of (for example) materials can affect their results.
We often use mock-ups to test special customized solutions.

It is important for our customers that their laboratories meet the requirements necessary for the laboratory to be classified for the function that the laboratory should have. This, in turn, influences the choice of materials which must be resistant and durable, as well as surfaces that must be easy to clean and non-porous to prevent e.g. chemicals from being absorbed or a worktop from corroding.
